About Amanda

Amanda Murphy is the Director of Operations for Infotech, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Atlantic Canada focusing on the delivery of professional services and software related to SharePoint. She has also been a valuable member of Infotech’s solution delivery team for over 7 years specializing in solution architecture, design, development and training.  In 2001, she received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Memorial University with a focus on Information Systems and Organizational Development.  

An active member in the Microsoft Development community, she served as the President of INETA North America during 2007-2008.  In addition, she is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and has also received the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification for Configuring Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.

In addition to her volunteer work within the technical community, she has recently completed her second book project related to the latest generation of SharePoint Products and Technologies where she was the co-author of Beginning SharePoint 2007: Building Team Solutions with MOSS 2007. This book focuses on the effective use of technology to support common business processes within many organizations. In addition to her book writing, Amanda is a regular speaker on SharePoint at industry and user group events and has been maintaining a SharePoint focused weblog for nearly 5 years.
