Comments on: The Beauty of SharePoint 2007 – Still Coming

I’m trying to get educated on SharePoint 2007, with a specific interest in understanding
its effectiveness in creating a corporate Web site. Previously the focus has been on
corporate intranets and document-centered portals, and I’m wondering how much this has
changed.

The questions I’m trying to resolve:
– How effective is SharePoint 2007 in creating a corporate Web presence?
– Are the available templates rich enough to use as the basis for such sites?
– Can the templates be easily configured and extended without a lot of programming?
– Can SharePoint Designer be used by business users to contribute content?
– Are there service providers that specialize in hosting SharePoint-based sites?

Any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Actually I haven’t tried Prey yet – in fact I have been really lacking some good 360 loving time lately. Hexic was a major time suck for me for a while there. It was the perfect way to kill 20-30 minutes on a lunch break or something. I have since found Zuma as a way to kill those time slots. I still have major love for Oblivion though I haven’t played in…too long.

With all this time off, surely you caught up on some general Xbox360 butt-kickery? Have you tried the new demo for Prey yet? Neat idea. I’m still enthralled with G.R.A.W. though – love those kinds of games. Also spent hours last night on Hexic. I finally got a black pearl!
