WSS v3 CSS Desktop Reference v1 (Coming Soon)

This is a little pet project I started to help those in in the CSS trenches of WSS v3 customization. Everyone involved with customization understands the pains of trying to figure out what classes apply to what elements.

While this certainly cannot replace the awesome Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar, this is more of a fun way to have the major styles at your fingertips. I’m in the process of creating a desktop background which is essentially a screen-capture of a WSS v3 site which has references to the CSS classes applied to each element.

Oh and don’t worry, I’m already thinking about the WSS v3 Theme Pack. Just as I did last year, I’ll be creating a new theme pack for the v3 release. This time there will be more and even better themes. I’m pleased to say that the theme pack last year was a huge success, netting more than 6,000 unique downloads.

Ow… this look cool! How about a core.css with all classes explained with comments, wouldn’t that be helpfull?

Any progress on this? I’m currently tasked with designing sites for MOSS 2007 and any tool like this one, or the one Mike mentioned above would be extreemly helpful. Thanks and keep up all the good work.

I’m guessing that this pet project has been put aside with Heather publishing hers?
