OK well almost everything. But playing some of my old favorites tonight got me thinking about how video games have helped me learn a thing or two over the years:
It is better to approach challenges in managed steps rather than running straight at the target without a plan.
Don’t get too caught up on conquering one single target – or you may end up missing others altogether.
You can always recover from a mistake unless you quit – then you are just plain out of the game.
If you don’t reflect on why you lost then you will probably never see how you are being beaten. Knowing what your weaknesses are is a major step in overcoming them or at the very least – defending against them.
If you want to improve your skills at something – surround yourself with people that are better than you. You might get beaten down a few times but you will always come out the other end stronger.
No matter how many times you may get beaten – it’s always the wins that count! Especially it’s against your older brother.
